We just returned from Orlando, FL with my family. It was my Mom, Dad, sister, 2 nieces, Sofia, Mike + I. We spent an entire week together in a cottage at Margaritaville Resort! We’ve hadn’t seen them in 4 months since our move to Charlotte, so it was really nice being under one roof together…and my Mom cooking me dinner again! 😉
My parents rented us a 4 bedroom house, so there was plenty of room to spread out. It also had a small pool out back which got loads of use. The girls swam every single AM and PM, they LOVE a night swim! We also made our way to the big hotel pool a few times for drinks, floating + the girls played bingo and made tie dye tees.
This trip we opted to not make it park heavy. Disney in the middle of summer is not the most magical place on Earth. Instead, we did a few indoor activities: Chef Mickey’s (character breakfast), pirates dinner show, luau at Royal Pacific Resort, trampoline park, movies + shopping! And of course, the girls couldn’t go to Orlando without hitting up at least one park, so my sister took them to Universal for the day. She’s brave + pretty freaking awesome! #coolaunt
It’s with a heavy heart I have to make note of a big event during our trip. My parents had to put our family dog, CJ, down. It was his time to go, and I am so grateful he held on so we could see him one last time. I’ll always remember carrying him around the cottage in my arms 🙂
Now we’re back and ready to get into a good routine again. I had totally forgot to delay our HungryRoot box and it delivered while we were gone, thank goodness we have the best neighbors and they picked it up for us!

FRIDAY: Out
