Weekend Edition | Super Bowl + Meal Plan

Did you watch the Super Bowl? We ordered pizza, salad + wings. Sofia and I were 100% there for the halftime show, Rihanna is a queen!

Our weekend was filled with the usual. We did add in private gymnastics lessons on Friday evenings. Sofia’s goal was to get her backhand spring down. The instructor had her do 57 of them at her lesson and by Sunday evening she was doing them while barely being spotted!

Saturday night we ordered PF Changs and I binged more Yellowstone. Obsessed obsessed obsessed with the series. I’m trying to talk Mike into moving to Montana 😉 The introvert in me can really get down with loads of land and no neighbors in sight.

Besides the Super Bowl, on Sunday, I promised Sofia we’d make banana bread. We also made a ham + cheese frittata for breakfast. Lots of cooking! Love having a big kitchen again!!!

Sunday was also my sweet nieces 4th birthday!!! We are all obsessed with Lily. Love her SO much.

I’ve been working on holding true to my word…to myself. I will do anything for other people but when it comes to my goals, I tend to let life get in the way and make a million excuses as to why I couldn’t get it done. It’s a ridiculous merry-go-round that I refuse to ride. I started setting VERY small goals, so small it’s comical but do-able (like a 5min workout, or a 5min timer set to see how many tubs I can get clean, or write a paragraph for a blog post). And guess what? I have been hitting them. All of them. It feels f’ing awesome. I feel free, like I broke through the chains that were holding me back. Anyways, just wanted to share incase you’re feeling the load of responsibility and putting your desires on the back burner.

Weekly Find: Sofia has incredibly thick luscious hair. It’s beautiful but also quite the task to brush. We’ve been using this leave-in spray and couldn’t be happier. It smells SO good but more importantly it helps the brush glide right through her hair.

Here’s what we’re cooking this week!

MONDAY: spaghetti + meatsauce (spaghetti squash for me) and salad
TUESDAY: Valentine’s Day – family date night!
WEDNESDAY: slow cooker beef queso nachos
THURSDAY: breakfast hash bowls (doing hash browns , bacon + fried egg on top)
FRIDAY: out

Hope you have a great week!
