Weekend Edition | Sofia’s 11th Birthday

Hope you’re having a great week!

This morning I was watching Sweet Magnolia’s as I had my coffee and Helen said something that hit deep “the only permanent choice you ever need to make, is to be a good person.”

Life has been BUSY for us, with work, school and cheer…I feel like my stress levels are all over the place; which means that my emotions are as well. What Helen said really clicked – we don’t need to let the overwhelming amount of choices get to us. We simply need to just focus on being a good person and the rest will fall into place. Ahhh, just typing that takes a big load off.

Ok, let’s get to this weekend!

We celebrated Sofia’s 11th birthday! It was her Fall break at school and all her close friends were out of town so she asked to go shopping then to the Melting Pot with Mike and I. My parents had ubereats deliver a cake and balloons which was a huge help…lol I totally didn’t get a cake, so thank you Mom!!! Then on her actual bday, Sunday, we celebrated with cupcakes with her cheer friends.

Here’s what we’re cooking this week!

MONDAY: spaghetti w/ salad
TUESDAY: chicken noodle soup (used leftover chicken Mike smoked)
WEDNESDAY: garlic shrimp (on heavy rotation!!!), mashed potatoes + broccoli
THURSDAY: salmon, rice + asparagus
FRIDAY: out

Hope you have a great week!
